Hard guardrails — enforced by us, not the AI

The model's output is only ever a suggestion. The limits that actually protect your wallet live in our backend, are enforced on every order, and cannot be loosened by the AI.

The guardrail engine

The AI proposes. The guardrails decide.

Before any order can reach your broker, it passes through a pure, AI-independent guardrail engine. The engine clamps the size or rejects the trade outright, and it fails closed — malformed or missing data results in a rejection, never a trade-around.

Max % per trade

Every order is capped to a fraction of the wallet, so no single trade can over-commit. Oversized AI suggestions are automatically clamped down to the limit.

Per-symbol concentration

A hard ceiling on how much of the wallet can sit in any one name, so the agent can't pile into a single stock.

Daily trade cap

An upper bound on trades per day as a backstop against runaway activity — Zap trades swing and longer-term positions, not high-frequency churn.

Daily-loss circuit breaker

If the day's loss crosses your threshold, the agent automatically pauses for the day. It also fails closed: if wallet telemetry looks malformed, it stops rather than guessing.

Risk levels

Limits scale with your chosen risk

You pick the posture; the hard caps are set accordingly. Even the most aggressive level is firmly bounded.

  • Conservative

    Capital preservation first.

    Large-cap names only · up to ~5% of the wallet per position · max 10% in any one name · auto-pauses on a 3% daily drawdown.

  • Moderate

    A balanced mix of growth and caution.

    Broader universe · up to ~15% per position · max 30% in any one name · auto-pauses on a 6% daily drawdown.

  • Aggressive

    Lean into opportunity — still hard-capped.

    Broader universe · up to ~25% per position · max 50% in any one name · auto-pauses on a 10% daily drawdown.

Your wallet is ring-fenced

Only the dedicated wallet

Zap only ever trades the dedicated Robinhood Agentic wallet you fund. The rest of your holdings are completely out of reach.

You hold the keys

Semi-automatic by default: every trade is a one-tap approval that expires if you don't act. Full-auto stays off until you explicitly enable it.

An immutable record

Every proposed and executed trade is written to a timestamped, append-only audit trail you can review at any time.
